The Revolution of the Groove

“The  mural celebrates the revolutionary artists who used their music to challenge ingrained thinking of social injustice and systemic racism. These musicians created songs about liberation for societal healing. The following musicians are highlighted in the mural: Miles Davis, Nina Simone, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and Billie Holiday.  Several of these artists performed in West Palm Beach’s Historic Northwest neighborhood.
